Guide to Sizes

A correct size on the tag of your clothing is essential to successful consigning. Always use the lowest of the range listed on the garment's tag. For example, if the tag says 12-18mo, write size '12mo' on your tag. If you know a brand may run smaller or larger than the tag indicates, feel free to add the comment "Wears like a 4T" and put 4T on your price tag even if the label says 5.

Here are some other important sizing guidelines:

If you think the item runs small or shrank (or you just don’t remember if it ran true to size), it really helps to hold your item in question to other garments in that size range.
Buyers might buy “up” but not smaller, so when in doubt, size the item the lower size you are considering for the price tag. We have seen many clothes go unsold because they were in a size larger than they should have been (say several 4T shirts which shrunk over time to fit more like a 3T should go in 3T).
4T and 4 are two different sizes and we have separate places on our rack fo these sizes (4 is larger)
If it says 'Slim' or 'Husky' on the tag, this can be included on your tag! This is very important for tags to read 'Narrow', 'Wide' or even 'Extra Wide' included this on your tag description. These special sizes are a great find for buyers.
Costumes have size ranges normally - please use smallest size when tagging these also. We have a separate area for 'dress up’clothes.
Coats/jackets - sometimes these run small - if it says '6' on the tag, but fits like a '5', write '5' for size on your tag so it is hung in that category.
Buyers love to buy matching tops and pants so sell things as sets (with one price on the tag and a note of how many pieces are included). Don't forget to secure the accessories like hats or hair bows to the outfit!

Rack Sizes

This list has all the sizes that we have separate racks for. Over recent years, new sizes have started appearing such as 5T, 6T, 36 months. We do not have racks for those sizes so please make sure the size on your tag matches one of the following:

0-3 months

3-6 months

6-9 months

9-12 months

12 months

18 months

24 months
